Black Friday Golf Deals 2021

Well, these days it’s more like Black November than Black Friday!

The annual pre-Christmas sale is here again and I am going to try and cover some of the best deals. Don’t forget though that it’s not much of a deal if you wouldn’t have brought it at the higher price! If you are looking for some inspiration on what to buy the golfer in your life then take a look at golf gifts for $50 or less.

Clubs

Amazon doesn’t tend to have a wide range of the latest clubs but you can often pick up some good deals. To find out more click the product name or image.

Callaway Mavrik Max 2020 Iron Set

Only available with stiff shafts and 6 iron-PW at the sale price but still offers great value for a Callaway model from last year.

Cobra Grandsport 3D Printed Putter

Featuring a 3D printed nylon insert this Cobra putter has a deep discount for the 35-inch Grandsport model.

Lazrus Premium Forged Wedge Set

With the latest wedges from Titleist, Callaway and TaylorMade costing $150 each maybe you should try out this set of 3 forged wedges for a lot less! While really good players might not be so keen, mid and high handicappers can get a forged club for a fraction of the price.

Golf Shoes

Shoes can often attract some hefty discounts. I will only buy shoes that have been discounted because I know that most models will eventually end up at sale prices!

Adidas Tech Response Golf Shoe

This model isn’t waterproof so only really useful as a summer shoe or if you live in drier climates. Good value for money for a solid shoe. I personally find Adidas shoes are a little narrow so always go for a wider fitting.

FootJoy Mens FJ Originals

If you prefer a more traditional design then look no further than these classicly styled FootJoys. Available in 3 different colors they have a 12-month waterproof guarantee so should keep your feet cozy even when the weather turns sour.

FootJoy Superlites XP

A modern spikeless shoe from FootJoy. With a 12-month waterproof guarantee, your feet will be looked after on and off the course.

Apparel

You can often find the deepest discounts on clothing since that does tend to have a higher markup than many other products.

Under Armour Storm Snap Fleece 1/2 Zip T-Shirt

Layer Up! A water-repellent, breathable top. Ideal all as one of your clothing layers.

Adidas Golf Men’s Ultimate 365 Shorts

As is often the case with clothing the reductions are only available in certain colors and sizes but the savings can be significant. These shorts are water-resistant with sweat-wicking fabric to help keep you cool.

Technology

Technology is now a part of golf and not just in terms of club design. GPS-enabled devices certainly make it a lot easier to work out how far you have left to the flag.

Shot Scope V3 GPS Watch

Preloaded with more than 36,000 courses, this should have you covered almost everywhere you go. With an accuracy of ± 1 yard you get distances to the front, middle and back of the green plus hazards. Unlike with my SkyCaddies SG2.5 you won’t need a subscription! Comes with 16 tags so you can track yardages of your own shots.

Garmin Approach Z80 Laser Ranger Finder

Accurate distances to within 10 inches for up to 350 yards! Has a “plays like” feature to adjust for uphill or downhill shots which can be turned off play. Has image stabilization to make it easier to lock on to the flag.

Balls

While Titleist remains the undisputed king of golf balls, there are plenty of other options for you to choose from.

Trust Bison V

If you’re looking for a high-quality urethane-covered ball without breaking the bank then the Trust Bison might fit the bill. Available in several different compressions to suit your particular swing speed and if you buy four dozen then you get quite a discount.

Golf Specific Stores

I have no affiliation with these stores other than having been a customer of the UK-based ones.

US Based Mail Order/Retailers

TGW

TGW has come up with 600 deals for Black Friday with savings of up to 75% off. They do have what appear to be a lot of pretty decent deals with as much as $100 off some top-line clubs. I did notice one Ping fairway wood with only $4 off though! You can see their club deals here. They also seem to have some decent discounts on certain models of shoes. You can check out all their offers on their Black Friday page.

Carl’s Golfland

There aren’t that many deals on offer but there are deep discounts available such as $100 off a TaylorMade SIM Max driver. There are also some hefty discounts on golf shoes. The Therabody Theragun Elite Massager is also reduced by 25%!

Rock Bottom Golf

Their price is already pretty low to start with as a rule. This is what they currently have on offer.

Dick’s Sporting Goods

Not specifically a golf store but does carry a large range of golf equipment. You can grab up to 40% off in their Black Friday event although you won’t be able to access their website from the EU.

GlobalGolf

The black Friday offering from GlobalGolf does seem a little disappointing with none of the deals jumping out at me as being must-haves!

You can check out what they have to offer on their weekly specials page.

UK Based Online/Offline Retailers

American Golf

The largest UK-based golf retailer has quite a few items in their Black November sale. There are a few decent savings if you are in the market for a GPS watch. Not too many clubs on sale but interestingly they also have the Theragun products on sale which makes me think they haven’t been selling all that well.

ClubhouseGolf

I find these guys tend to have some decent offers throughout the year. They don’t appear to be doing anything specific for Black Friday but you can find some deals on their sale page.

Snainton Golf

They have a retail presence in the North of England but also deal online. They are offering a range of daily deals and ongoing offers.

Is Black Friday A Waste Of Time?

Like any sales event, Black Friday is mainly about separating you from your money. The saving is only really a saving if you were going to buy it anyway at a higher price. If you’re only buying it because it’s been reduced is that really a saving?

I think Martin Lewis sums it up best with his money mantra:

If you are skint*If you are not skint*
Do I need it?Will I use it?
Can I afford it?Is it worth it?
Have I checked if it’s cheaper anywhere else?Have I checked if it’s cheaper anywhere else?
If any answer is no… DO NOT BUY IT If any answer is no… DO NOT BUY IT

*For those not from the UK, skint means having little or no money available.
